The 1st Earls Colne Scout & Guide group offer activities for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14. The group consists of a three Scouting sections (Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts) and two Guiding sections (Brownies and Guides). See the individual section pages for more information about the age ranges and meeting days and times.
The group is run by an executive committee, with a Chairman, Treasurer and other committee members who are responsible for the management of the groups finances and facilities. As a charity, run entirely by volunteers the group is always on the lookout for fundraising opportunities and for volunteers to help, either working with the sections or assisting on the committee.
An events committee has recently been established and is looking for new helpers.
The group is fortunate to have it’s own purpose built meeting place in Station Road, Earls Colne (see location map), which provides ideal facilities for our section meetings and also for camping for our own and for other scout groups.
